Midsummer conditions are here until cool-off in September. Trout are now in the coolest water near Creek mouths (until bright mid-day skies), springs and deep weed beds in search of food and physical comfort.   Creek mouths that bring in cool water (Duck, Hope, Howard, Targehee) offer good fishing very early in the day. Suspending speckled dun, damselfly nymph, and scud patterns under an indicator at these locations can be effective until the bright sky of midday. Arrive very early to ensure a decent position in front of these.  Boat fishing remains dangerous when winds pick up.
