The spring-fed Main Stem Snake below Tilden Bridge is fishing well, with flows near 8,800 cfs below American Falls Dam making wading dangerous but boating ideal. Water temperature at the Blackfoot gauge reads 56.3°F, and all boat launches above Tilden Bridge are open.

Numerous springs, mostly coming in from the Fort Hall Reservation, maintain very good fishing in the river below the Tilden Bridge. Streamer and woolly bugger patterns on sink tip or full sinking lines with stout leaders are the best producers.
There is no maintained boat launch site on the river below Tilden Bridge — the nearest is at Sportsman's Park near Aberdeen on American Falls Reservoir. This makes motorized boating the most practical way to fish the river, though it does increase recreational use of the river. All boat launches above the Tilden Bridge are open.
Flow below American Falls Dam is about 8,800 cfs, so wading there is dangerous. This flow is ideal for boating and makes all launch sites easily used.
