Coq de Minneaux

We recently got a pretty decent selection of some really great Whiting products in, and the Coq de Leon Hen Saddles completely caught my eye. The second I saw them, I knew I wanted to create a pattern utilizing them. After some experimenting, the Coq de Minneaux is what I landed on.

Safe to say, this fly absolutely crushed for me pretty early on! I really love the versatility a jig streamer provides, and this pattern delivers exactly what you need on the water: insane movement, jig versatility, and a quick tie.

If you've been looking for a reason to twist up some of those Whiting Coq de Leon feathers, this quick-tying jig streamer is a great fly to fill a box with!

Note: While I love this as a jigged streamer pattern, if 5.5mm isn't in the budget, don't be afraid to try this in a conehead version!
